Breaking news in the world of gaming as disgruntled stuntman Bam Margera has now been reinstated in the pro skateboarding ranks. According to reports, Bam Margera is featured in an upcoming "Tony Hawk's Pro Skater" video game after initially being left off. Bam's saving grace - none other than Tony Hawk.
Let's face it - Bam Margera has had a rough go of things.
The Jackass superstar quickly rose to stardom in the mid 2000's, but his struggle with substance abuse and legal issues has left him broken.
Well, it would appear that Bam Margera has found a glimmer of hope, as the Tony Hawk has pushed for him to be featured in the newest Pro skater game.
Bam Margera to be featured in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater
For thos who are unfamiliar with the game, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater takes place in an urban environment permeated by an ambience of punk rock and ska punk music.
The player takes control of a variety of skateboarders and must complete missions by performing skateboarding tricks and collecting objects -- an instant for 90's kids who grew up in the Nintendo 63 era.
According to TMZ, Bam was not among the skateboarders announced for "Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4" despite being in the OG version, but after a recent push from Tony, Activision is including Bam in the game.
Our sources tell us Tony skated with Bam at the beginning of March and saw how well Margera was doing in his sobriety and wanted to get the "Jackass" star back in the game.
What a classy move by Tony Hawk!
Bam Margera was featured in the early versions of the game, but stepped away from skateboarding to pursue his role as a stunt man on the famous "Jackass" series.
Well, it appears that things have now come full circle for Bam Margera.
He's clearly healing from his longstanding substance abuse issues, which has earned him the respect of Tony Hawk.
Now, Bam Margera is back skating, and it's really cool to see him back on the skateboard.
