It's no secret that Bill Murray is one of the most iconic actors of our generation. From Caddy Shack, Ghost Busters, and Space Jam the iconic comedian has never failed to deliver hilarious performances. That said, while he's had an extremely successful Hollywood career, it's also come with massive regrets. During an appearance on on The Howard Stern Show on Tuesday, March 25, Murray revealed that his biggest mistake in his career was turning down a movie with the legendary Clint Eastwood.

It's also no secret that Clint East is one of the biggest generational talents in the history of movies. The former actor turned director has been featured in some of the biggest projects in Hollywood, and continues to deliver even at 94 years of age.

As previously mentioned, Bill Murray made an appearance on the Howard Stern show, highlighting his opportunity to work with Eastwood -- a chance he regretfully denied.
Out of the blue, Murray received a phone call from Eastwood, and the cowboy actor asked Murray if he'd be interested in filming a comedy together.
According to Murray, he had just wrapped up filming the hit comedy Stripes and Estwood had this great idea for an enormous "Navy thing."
«It's one of the few regrets I have is that I didn't do it because it was a big-scale thing. I don't know if I'd have gotten a great death scene.» Murray confessed. «It was more of a comedy that one. He had access to World War II boats, and he could have, like, made a flotilla and stuff, and there was some cool stuff in it.»
«When I see him, I'm like, 'I'm sorry. I don't know ... but I wish I'd done that Clint, I'm really sorry.' " Murray shared that Eastwood is "well over it," calling the Oscar winner a "very resilient fellow."

Can you imagine how great that movie could have been?
Regardless, it's cool to see the tremendous amount of respect Murray has for Eastwood.
