Breaking news in the film industry as actor John Goodman is on the mend following a nasty wipe-out he took at the coveted Pinewood studios.
Ouch!
Poor John Goodman. The actor widely recognized for his roles in Captive State. Atomic Blonde, and King Kong is feeling the aftermath of a fall he took while filming.
Goodman's injuries are non-life threatening
A source with direct knowledge tells TMZ ... the actor fell while on set, but it was not related to a stunt. We're told he hurt his hip, but he is on the mend and will be back shooting next week.
What a relief!
Accidents on set do happen from time-to-time, but a serious accident could have halted the production altogether. Thankfully, he'll be fine!
The film -- an untitled flick from four-time Academy Award winner Alejandro González I�árritu -- boasts some big star talent alongside John ... including Tom Cruise, Jesse Plemons, Michael Stuhlbarg, Sandra Hüller and Riz Ahmed.
While fans are awaiting the details of this highly anticipated production, the star studded cast hints at something big...
Although the film remains nameless, IMD does give a general breakdown to it's synopsis...see the description below:

How exciting!
At 72 years of age, it's reassuring knowing Goodman will be back on set as early as next week.
He's undertaken big steps to get his health back in order the past few years, losing over 100+ pounds, and he looks fantastic.
I'm sure I speak for everyone when i say we're wishing you a speedy recovery, John Goodman!
