Paige Spiranac addresses the rumours of performing explicit favours to become a pro golfer

Let's face it -- Paige Spiranac is one of the hottest athletes in all of sports. The blonde bombshell has been featured in dozens of Sports Illustrated magazines, including endorsements and media gigs. That being said, Paige Spiranac has faced her fair share of controversy and criticism during her career as a pro golfer. Speaking with Mel Reid and Kira Dixon on the March 19 episode of their Quiet Please! podcast, the 32-year-old golfer broke down an incident that occurred at the 2015 Dubai Ladies Masters, where the fans accused her of performing sexual favours to receive an invitation to the tournament.
Let's face it -- when you have looks like Paige Spiranac, you're going to have haters. Unfortunately, the public attacked her when she started emerging as a pro golfer, claiming the only reason she received any consideration in the big leagues was because her performed explicit favours.

According to People, Spiranac was also an influencer on social media, something that said other female golfers judged her for. She told Reid, who is a current LGPA golfer, and Dixon, a golf personality, that she was not ready for the media frenzy.
"There were constant comments like 'I did sexual favors to get this invite,' and I was listening to it - and they would say [it] within earshots of me. It was tough," she continued.
She said in the interview that the pressure is likely what led to her less than favorable game play. "It was my first pro event, it was really difficult. I just wanted to be liked and I played so bad. It was horrendous," she admitted.
Spiranac said that she understands why her brand deals and influencer status might have "ruffled feathers" among the golf community.
While the allegations are completely false, it's still nice to see her holding her head up high.
Now, she continues to post golfing videos on her instagram -- showing off her good looks, and her skills.
