Ahhh mothers day! What a fantastic time of the year to honour and cherish all the mama's of the world who raised us and moulded us into the people we are today. While it isnt mothers day in North America, it's that time of the year in the UK. Meghan Markle (The Duchess of Sussex) has always been known to celebrate all types of festivities. Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, are the proud parents of two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet -- so you can imagine that Mother's day holds some extra significance for her. In a recent social media post, Meghan showcases her unique mothers day traditions!
It's no secret that Meghan Markle is a total superstar on the screen, and in the kitchen. She recently premiered her new show With Love, Meghan, on Netflix, a fun cooking show with her own personal flair.
That said, Meghan Markle recently gave fans an inside look into her mothers day traditions, and its no surprise that the tradition revolves around food!
Meghan Markle shows her mothers day tradition
According to People Magazine To mark Mothering Sunday on March 30, the Duchess of Sussex - who shares children Prince Archie, 5, and Princess Lilibet, 3, with husband Prince Harry - posted a photo of what looks like a homemade pie on her Instagram. The dessert features expertly placed orange slices along with a red edible flower.
"Our family tradition. Mothering Sunday in the UK 🍋," Meghan captioned the simple post.
In a recent interview, Meghan Markle revealed that the most important aspect of her life is her kids, which further emphasized the significance of mothers day.
"When your children get to a certain age - when you're not just playing in the sandbox with them but almost playing in your own sandbox again - it's super joyful," she said. "As a woman, a mom and a wife, to be able to find yourself again - in a way that was always present but that you maybe couldn't put as much attention on as you now can when your kids are a little bit older - is a wonderful feeling.»
