Eminem AKA Slim Shady, AKA Marshall Mathers, took on the role of B-Rabbit in the hit movie 8 Mile.
When the movie first hit the big screens, it was an instant success.
To make even more intriguing, the rap battle scene against Anthony Mackie (Clarence) had a personal twist.
Eminem used personal information during climax
The 2002 flick was a loose translation of Em's Detroit upbringing, and Mackie shared his life story with the legendary rapper, telling him about his Juilliard School training and growing up in a two-parent household in New Orleans.
There's no denying Eminem has always been one of the most lyrically gifted rappers in the game.
He's quick, witty, and dangerous on the microphone.
That said, those skills were on full display during the rap battle scene in 8 Mile, where the rapper used his knowledge and skills to bury his opponent...in real life!

According to reports, Eminem tricked Mackie by gathering as much personal information as he could, which he then used a firepower during the battle.

So, the «brilliant» rapper asked the «Captain America» star to kick it. He learned about Mackie's background of private schools, Juilliard, & strong family structure. From that, Papa Doc's back story was created, & we got to see it all on the big screen!
To be fair, Mackie never stood a chance...but he took the "L" like a champ!
Not only did he win an award for the song "Lose Yourself," but he also took on that same mentality when filming the movie.
Sorry, Clarence, but you lost that battle!
To this day, 8 Mile remains a cult favourite among hip hop/rap enthusiasts across the globe.
