Pop icon Britney Spears has shared a concerning message with her fans, revealing that she suffered «brain injuries» stemming from a traumatic experience during her conservatorship years.

On Sunday night, the 43-year-old singer posted a photo of herself on horseback, showing her back to the camera.
In the caption, she wrote about being under constant watch by a security guard «for four months,» calling the experience deeply damaging both physically and mentally.
Britney said the episode «did more than hurt [her] body,» adding that there are «many things» she hasn't yet shared publicly - even in her 2023 memoir The Woman in Me.

Britney Spears ompares her trauma to Maleficent

In her message, the Toxic singer wrote that she felt as if her «logic and consciousness as one whole were 100% murdered and destroyed,» recalling that she couldn't dance or move for five months.
Spears, who lived under a strict 13-year conservatorship that ended in 2021, drew a poignant comparison between her own life and Angelina Jolie's portrayal of Maleficent in Disney's 2014 film.
She wrote about identifying with the character - a misunderstood fairy whose wings are taken away, only to be later restored.
«I truly feel like my wings were taken from me and that brain damage happened a long time ago, 100%,» she confessed.
«Of course, I've moved past that troubling part of my life and feel blessed to be alive.»
The singer's representatives have not commented publicly on the post or her alleged health struggles.
However, in November 2022, the singer revealed that she was living with nerve damage on the right side of her body, which caused ongoing physical pain.
Toward the end of her message, Britney appeared to address her ex-husband, Kevin Federline, whose recent memoir You Thought You Knew reportedly includes harsh claims about her and her relationship with their sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James.
«It's funny telling stories at this point because it can all sound ridiculous,» she wrote. «But with all the garbage being said about me, I thought - why not bring some SUBSTANCE to the table?»
