The Star Wars franchise reportedly set to announce exciting new movie

Well regarded for her portrayal of "Rey" in the latest Star Wars Trilogy, the 32 year old actress made history in the franchise through The Force Awakens, The Last Jedi, and The Rise of Skywalker, Daisy Ridley teases fans with details of her newest project.

When the trilogy wrapped up, fans across the Star Wars universe thought it was was the end of Rey's journey. Well, "not so fast" says Daisy Ridley as she surprises fans with a new spin-off series of her character.

Whispers of this new project initially leaked back in 2023, but little information has surfaced up until now. During an interview with Collider, Daisy Ridley shared a few more details regarding this new project.

Ridley explained that she's aware of the main storyline of the project, already familiar with the script and other important details. Although she doesn't know if she'll take on a producer role, she's highly invested and thrilled to be participating in this adventure in more complete ways than the past.

According to her, being immersed deeply into the creative process allows her to gain a more in depth understanding and overall vision of the project.

The actress also spoke to the positive impact Star Wars has had on her life, explaining that playing such a big role evoked a strong sense of empowerment and self confidence.

With a new team, she believes that this new group of creators has what it takes to bring this thrilling story to life.

This project is currently known as Untitled New Jedi Order Film, and very much still in the design phase.

No official date has been announced yet, but Daisy Ridley's enthusiasm is sure giving Star Wars fans something to smile about.
