Soccer star dies in concert fire tragedy

On March 16th, a fire broke out in a nightclub in North Macedonia, resulting in a mass tragedy. The nightclub «Pulse», known for hosting private events and electronic dance parties engulfed in flames due to a faulty piece of pyrotechnic equipment.
According to reports, 59 people and injured more than 155 others. A horrible tragedy that devastated the entire country of North Macedonia.
As the dust finally settles on this awful tragedy, we start to learn some of the victims on a more personal level.
Among the victims was 25 year old soccer phenom, Andrej Lazarov, who unfortunately died due to smoke inhalation.
Lazarov's team issues official statement
As we come to grips with the horrible situation, Lazarov's team is also struggling to come to terms with everything.
In a message posted on Facebook on Sunday, March 16, the FC Shkupi club of the Macedonian First Football League shared «with great pain and sorrow» that 25-year-old Lazarov was confirmed to be among the dead.

According to People Magazine, the soccer club wrote that Lazarov ultimately succumbed to smoke inhalation, and that he died attempting to save other nightclub goers.
The team noted that he showed «courage and humanity until the very last moment,» adding, «His heroic act will always remain in our memories, as a testament to his noble character and his big heart.»
«This is a huge loss for our club, our teammates and the entire football community. Words are not enough to describe the pain we feel right now,» the statement concluded.
How terrible to see such a young promising man be taken from us so early!
The 25 year old athlete will be remembered for his outstanding talent, his bright smile, and deep love for his teammates.
We wish to send our deepest sympathies to the Lazarov family during this difficult time.
RIP, young man. He was only 25 years old.
