Breaking news is showbiz as famous hip-hop artist were found guilty of fraud and conspiracy to commit wire fraud in a federal trial in Broward County, Fla. Sockingly, Sean Kingston's mother was also involved in the scandal, and she's been found guilty as well.

If you grew up as a millennial, you definitely heard Sean Kingston on the radio before.
Now, if you aren't familiar with Sean Kingston, his birthname is Kisean Paul Anderson known professionally as Sean Kingston, is an American reggae fusion singer and rapper. He signed with J. R. Rotem's record label Beluga Heights Records to release his 2007 debut single, "Beautiful Girls", which peaked atop the Billboard Hot 100 -- a mid 2000's legend to say the least.
Additionally, he collaborated with superstar sensation Justin Bieber, producing the song Eenie Mennie which was also a #1 song on the billboard 100.
While Kingston has found a ton of success in the music industry, he appears to be falling under hard times. After being arrested for suspicion of fraud and conspiracy to commit wire fraud, he's been deemed guilty and is being held on house arrest until his sentencing date in July.

The singer, 35, whose legal name is Kisean Anderson, was placed under house arrest with electronic monitoring, while Turner was taken into custody. The singer must additionally post a surety bond of a home valued at $500,000 and $200,000 in cash, per NBC6 South Florida. Their sentencing is scheduled for July 11.

During the trial, Fort Lauderdale jeweler Moshe Edery testified that he lost his credibility after a failed $285,000 transfer from Kingston, NBC6 reported on Thursday, March 27.

"I'm being scammed," Edery recounted on the stand.

If found guilty, Kingston could face up to 20 years in prison.
