Mariah Carey has always had a flair for the drama. Recently, Muni Long performed at the iHeartRadio music awards, but her performance may have ruffled some feathers across the music industry. In a bold decision, Long decided to pay tribute to Mariah Carey by performing her smash single "We Belong Together".
Hmmm...I'm not sure if this was the best call by Muni Long.
Let's face it - Mariah Carey is a total diva. She's hard to please and doesn't impress very easily.
Well, that statement proved to be true during Muni Long's performance at the iHeartRadio music awards.

Muni Long clears up the drama
According to People, Long said in a social media video reposted by The Shade Room on Wednesday, March 19, that Carey was actually pleased.
"The people that's got a lot to say, you don't understand how this paying homage and having respect for people..." the "Made for Me" singer began.
"She asked me to do it," Long said of the night's honoree. "You thought I chose to get on TV and sing a Mariah Carey song? You thought that was my choice? Why would I do that? Nobody can sing Mariah's songs like Mariah. Nobody."
"I did my best, and that's all I can do," the Grammy winner continued.
I have to admit, I actually enjoyed Long's rendition quite a bit.
It was a bold decision, but if Mariah liked it...so did! While Mariah's reaction was undoubtedly confusing, it's a relief to know that there's no bad blood between the two superstars.
