Legendary singer Gladys Knight falls terribly - cancels her show

Breaking news as famous singer/song writer Gladys Knight has unfortunately fallen terribly ill.
According to MSN, the legendary singer, 80, was scheduled to perform at the Florida Theatre on Saturday (8 March), when she was taken ill.
Gladys Knight has always been a legend in the industry. Widely known for her smash hits Midnight Train to Gerogia, I Don't Wanna Know, and Love Overboard, she's always delivered timeless performances fans look forward to.
Originally know for her family group Gladys Knight and the Pips,she also collaborated with world renounced artists such as Dionne Warwick, Elton John, Stevie Wonder and Patti Labelle.
According to a statement from Florida Theatre president Numa Saiselin, the «Midnight Train to Georgia» star fell ill «very suddenly» while backstage. She was treated by medical staff before being taken to hospital for further treatment.

Update on Gladys Knight
Following the shocking backstage incident, the venue's management staff provided an update on her condition.
You can see the statement below:
«Tonight's performance by Gladys Knight was cancelled due to illness,» the venue's statement said. «Ms Knight and another member of her staff were taken ill backstage, very suddenly, and at the last minute, which necessitated the sudden cancellation of the show.»
This is indeed a very scary situation for the former Grammy award winner. One can only imagine the panic and dismay that must have shaken the crowd.
